Shamakhi Olympic Center - after reconstruction, the area of the center was increased from 3.5 hectares to 7 hectares. The cottages were demolished and replaced with new ones. A football stadium and a world-class training hall with an area of 1,536 m2 were built for 2,000 spectators. Shamakhi Olympic Center has a large gym for 750 seats for indoor events and sports, 6-lane 12.5x25 m indoor pool, tennis hall, gym and fitness centers, sauna, restaurant, modern 56-room hotel, outdoor mini football, basketball, volleyball courts available. After the reconstruction of the Shamakhi Olympic Center, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Sports Complex on May 16, 2013.
